mount marathon for mental health

Who are we doing this for?

Scottish Association for Mental Health

SAMH operates over 70 services in communities across Scotland, providing mental health social care support, addictions and employment services, and more. They run national programmes and campaign work to influence positive social change.

SAMH is 100 this year! To celebrate this milestone, we’re encouraging people across Scotland to make this the year to do something for Scotland’s mental health.

Why we are doing this? Approximately 1 in 4 people experience a mental health problem at some point in their lifetime. We know the devastating impact poor mental health can have on a person, their family, and friends.

We have really benefitted from the positive impact physical activity has on our mental health and wellbeing. We want to share that impact with as many people as possible while trying to raise £5000 !

Mental health and running

For many people, lacing up their running shoes and getting outdoors can take them on a journey out of a dark place in their lives. Running regularly can provide consistent boosts to your overall feelings of happiness. Running can be a method of making your body and mind feel better.

Who can take part?

Anyone and everyone, trust us when we say YOU CAN DO THIS. We are here to support you every step of the way!
